Covid Immunity Should Be the Real Focus … Not Just Vaccinations
The scientific and medical approach to halting the Covid-19 pandemic should focus on immunity, with vaccinations playing only a supporting role. Unfortunately, the U.S. Public Health machine and the U.S. federal government are significantly off track. They are pushing hard (directly, through state and local governments, and through businesses) to get as many people vaccinated as possible, even if some/many of the people do not need the vaccines and if some of those are harmed by the vaccines. Changing the focus to immunity would change what they are currently doing.
As of this date (Sept 2021), over 42 million Americans have been confirmed to have contracted Covid. Most of them have recovered and these recovered patients have immunity equal to (maybe greater than) fully vaccinated Americans. They have already acquired naturally what the Covid vaccines are trying to create artificially, namely immunity. They do not need to be vaccinated to acquire what they already have. And because they already have Covid antibodies, they are at a higher risk of having side effects, sometimes serious, from the vaccines than those with no immunity.
In addition to Americans with confirmed cases of Covid, there are 2-3 times as many Americans who have acquired immunity naturally by having non-symptomatic Covid. They do not need to be vaccinated either, because they already have Covid antibodies, and they are at a higher risk of side effects from the Covid vaccines if they were to receive them.
That’s about a third of Americans who do not need the vaccines and may be harmed by them!
Medical ethics includes the principles of not giving a medical treatment/medication to someone who doesn’t need it and not giving medical treatment/medication to someone who might be harmed by it if there are other options. The U.S. Public Health machine and the U.S. Federal Government, and some state and local governments, and most of the news media, are failing us by pushing vaccines on as many as possible without comprehending naturally acquired immunity.
An IgG T-Cell antibody test can be performed to see if Covid T-Cell antibodies are already present before deciding if someone is a candidate for a Covid vaccination. This would be a good step in shifting the primary focus to immunity. But first they have to acknowledge the reality of natural immunity, something many don’t seem to want to do. Or maybe they don’t understand the science as well as some of us.
Some immunity vs. vaccine questions:
If you institute a “passport” system, shouldn’t it be an immunity passport rather than a vaccination passport?
Isn’t it more scientific if everyone with Covid immunity get this passport?
Why would you deny this passport to someone with immunity just because they acquired it naturally?
Why would you not protect people by determining if Covid antibodies are already present before deciding if they are a candidate for one of the vaccines?
